Add a CommentThe copy that I took out said that Jo Nesbo is the next Steig Larsson. I largely ignored this and began reading my first Nesbo book. I have now read 3 of this series in a month and need to take a break because of how awesomely intense they are. The Scandinavian setting is great, as is the trust that the author has in your ability to piece things together (nothing is overly resolved in an unrealistically convenient fashion), and the detective, admittedly unfortunately named, is compelling. Fans of Larsson’s books will likely enjoy this series, though I’m reluctant to totally equate the two.
